A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a bus in Rahway on Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of West Scott Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a person hit by a vehicle.
Upon arrival, police and EMS found the victim with serious injuries. The individual was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
The bus driver involved in the incident was taken to Rahway Hospital for an evaluation but did not sustain serious injuries.
Rahway Police are investigating the cause of the crash, and no further details have been released at this time.
