The Bergen County Prosecutor's Office is investigating a crash that left a pedestrian dead in Fairview Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, just before 4 a.m., police responded to reports of a crash near the intersection of Fairview and Broad avenues.
When emergency responders arrived, they found the crash site with one pedestrian pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed down a portion of the roadway for the investigation,
The cause of the collision is under an active investigation.
