NJ Transit Police is leading the investigation into a train strike that killed a pedestrian in Burlington County Friday night.
According to NJ Transit officials, at approximately 10:40 p.m., a non-revenue generating light rail train traveling on the Riverline struck an adult male near the Wood Lane Crossings.
The unidentified person was pronounced dead at the scene.
NJ Transit officials said there were no passengers on board the train.
Edgewater Park and NJ Transit Police responded to the scene and conducted the investigation.
