A pedestrian struck by a bus in Nutley has detectives on the scene investigating a fatality.
Police and EMS were called to the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and Centre Street for reports of a person struck by a vehicle at around 8:30 pm.
Units arriving at the scene found the unidentified person unconscious and unresponsive after a NJ Transit bus struck them.
Medical staff pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
