Pedestrian Critical After Car Crash in Plainfield

Authorities in Plainfield are investigating a car crash that left a pedestrian struck and seriously injured overnight in the city.

According to authorities, last night at approximately 8:20 pm, Plainfield Police officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of West Third Street and Lee Place.

Authorities arrived to find a accident that involved one vehicle with a pedestrian being struck.

The driver of the motor vehicle remained at the scene and the adult male pedestrian was transported to an area hospital in critical condition authorities said.

The accident is under investigation by the Plainfield Police Division Traffic Unit.
