Today, Paterson officials will unveil a much-needed new soccer field in the city.
According to officials, The Honorable Mayor Andre Sayegh, joined by the John F. Kennedy High School Boys Soccer Team, will cut the ribbon for the newly renovated soccer field at Pennington Park.
Officials say Pennington Park, destroyed by Hurricane Ida, has not been used for over a year as renovations took place.
The John F. Kennedy Boys Soccer Team comprises 30 players with seven seniors and is this year’s Passaic County Tournament champions.
They beat the top contending Clifton Mustangs to become county champions for the first time in 27 years.
