Authorities have began their investigation into a shooting that occurred in Paterson, New Jersey, during the early hours of November 25.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray, officers responded to Hackensack University Medical Center at approximately 12:15 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting victim.
The victim, a 27-year-old man from Elmwood Park, had arrived at the hospital via private vehicle and was treated for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
Police determined the shooting took place near McLean Boulevard and 18th Avenue in Paterson, where a potential crime scene was later identified.
