Paterson Shooting Leaves One Dead, Another Injured Near Hospital

An early morning shooting in Paterson on November 12, 2024, has left one man dead and another injured.AdAccording to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:49 a.m. near Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard.

Upon arrival, police discovered ballistic evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. Shortly after, officers were alerted to a car accident outside Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.

One of the vehicle’s occupants, a 27-year-old Paterson man, exited the car and entered the hospital, where he was admitted with a gunshot wound.

The second occupant, a 21-year-old man from Staten Island, New York, was found inside the car with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
