An early morning shooting in Paterson on November 12, 2024, has left one man dead and another injured.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Isa Abbassi, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 3:49 a.m. near Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard.
Upon arrival, police discovered ballistic evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. Shortly after, officers were alerted to a car accident outside Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.
One of the vehicle’s occupants, a 27-year-old Paterson man, exited the car and entered the hospital, where he was admitted with a gunshot wound.
The second occupant, a 21-year-old man from Staten Island, New York, was found inside the car with multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
