Authorities in Passaic County are looking into an overnight armed robbery that left a man injured after the robber used a weapon to slash the victim.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a bar located in the 90's block of Belmont Avenue after receiving reports of an injured person at that location.
Units arrive at the scene found the victim suffering a slash wound to the face after apparently being robbed by a male for an unknown amount of cash just before 3:30 a.m.
The victim received medical attention for the non-life threatening injury according to officials.
Police detained on the suspect but has not officially released charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
