Paterson Police are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that took place in one of the city’s neighborhoods on Sunday afternoon.
It happened around 4:25 p.m. near the intersection of Ellison Street and Church Street.
A ShotSpotter device alerted police to gunfire in the area, and when officers arrived, they secured the scene and found over a dozen shell casings.
A search of the neighborhood revealed no victims, and the suspect fled the scene before police arrived.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to locate the individual responsible for the shooting.
No arrests have been made at this time.'
