Paterson police are on the search for an armed suspect involved in a violent robbery and assault that occurred on Saturday night.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Eagle Avenue and Knickerbocker Avenue shortly before 9:50 p.m.
Units were dispatched to the scene following reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim, who had been pistol-whipped by the suspect. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was attended to by EMS at the scene.
The suspect, who fled the scene, remains at large.
Paterson police are continuing their investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
