Paterson police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred Friday evening in the area of East 29th Street and 14th Avenue.
The shooting was reported around 7 p.m. after a ShotSpotter device detected gunfire and alerted authorities.
When officers arrived at the scene, they recovered shell casings and confirmed that a shooting had taken place.
However, after canvassing the neighborhood, no victims were found.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Police are currently reviewing the motive behind the shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
