Passaic County authorities have announced the indictment of Alberto Sanabria, a 38-year-old Paterson resident and member of the Paterson Police Department, on multiple domestic violence charges.
The indictment stems from incidents that occurred on December 23, 2023, in Paterson.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, a grand jury returned Indictment No. 24-07-00502-I, charging Sanabria with several offenses.
These include one count of third-degree Terroristic Threats, one count of fourth-degree Cyber Harassment, and one count of fourth-degree Stalking.
If convicted, Sanabria faces significant penalties: 3 to 5 years in New Jersey State Prison for the Terroristic Threats charge, and up to 18 months in state prison for each of the Cyber Harassment and Stalking charges.
Sanabria was released on a summons complaint and is scheduled to appear for arraignment on August 19, 2024, before the Honorable Barbara Buono Stanton, J.S.C.
