Paterson Police Investigate Late-Night Shooting That Injured 21-Year-Old Man

Authorities are investigating a shooting in Paterson that left a 21-year-old man injured late Thursday night.AdAccording to information released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray, officers responded to reports of gunfire near Leigh Avenue and Dundee Avenue at approximately 11:56 p.m. on January 23.   

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, a Paterson resident, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.  

Police have since identified a potential crime scene in the area and are continuing their investigation.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and no additional details have been released.
