Authorities in Paterson are investigating a violent stabbing that occurred in the early morning hours of Saturday.
The incident unfolded at approximately 3:20 a.m. in the 80's block of Beech Street.
Police swiftly responded to the scene and discovered an unidentified individual who had sustained a stab wound to the back.
In serious condition, the victim was promptly transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for immediate medical attention.
The Paterson Police Department has launched a thorough and ongoing investigation into the matter. Thus far, the motive behind this brutal attack remains undetermined.
Law enforcement officials are urging anyone with information related to this incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing inquiry.
No other injuries were reported.
