Paterson police are investigating an early Friday morning shooting after a ShotSpotter device alerted authorities to gunfire in the area of 160 Rosa Parks Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 12:30 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered shell casings but found no victims after a thorough search of the area.
The suspect fled before police arrived, and no arrests have been made. Authorities have not yet identified a motive for the shooting.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact the Paterson Police Department.
