Authorities in Paterson are investigating an early morning shooting on Monday that left one person seriously injured.
The incident occurred around 4:35 a.m. near 456 East 36th Street.
Police responding to the scene discovered an unidentified individual suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency Medical Services were called to the location, and the victim was transported to St. Joseph’s Medical Center for treatment.
The extent of their injuries has not been confirmed.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspect fled the area in a light-colored vehicle. The individual remains at large as police continue to search for leads.
The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Paterson Police Department.
