. On Monday December 1st, 2014 at approximately 2:15am, a shooting incident took place at the intersection of Prospect & Ellison Streets that resulted in a city resident being struck in his right hip and buttocks.
An investigation conducted by Ceasefire Detectives Aramis Alba & Francisco Brito identified the person pictured in the attached photo as the suspected shooter in this incident. Complaints were then signed against this person, Andre Edwards, for Attempted Murder & Weapons Possession charges.
On Thursday evening January 8th, 2015, East Rutherford Police Officer William Hopkins conducted a motor vehicle stop of a driver in his town.
Once the vehicle was stopped, and after an investigation, the officer was able to determine that the driver was Andre Edwards.
Mr.Edwards was then placed under arrest by Officer Hopkins without incident.
