Paterson Man Indicted on Federal Firearms Charges

A Paterson man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for multiple firearms offenses after authorities discovered a large cache of illegal weapons, including 3D-printed ghost gun frames, machine gun conversion devices, silencers, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition in his home.  

According to information released by the U.S. Department of Justice, Mikhail Gouldson, 36, faces a five-count indictment, including charges of dealing in firearms without a license, possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon, possession of machine guns, possession of unregistered firearms, and attempted trafficking in firearms.  

Federal authorities had been monitoring Gouldson and intercepted multiple shipments of illegal weaponry sent to his residence.

A subsequent search uncovered firearms, ammunition, and 3D printing equipment used to manufacture untraceable weapons.  

Gouldson, who was previously charged by complaint, faces a maximum of 15 years in prison for possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon and attempted trafficking, 10 years for possession of machine guns and unregistered firearms, and 5 years for dealing firearms without a license. 

Each charge carries a maximum fine of $250,000. His arraignment date is yet to be determined.
