A police standoff in a Paterson neighborhood ended Saturday morning peacefully, with officers taking an armed man into custody.
In a preliminary investigation just before 10:10 a.m., Paterson Police notified SWAT after they confirmed that a man was armed with a gun inside a home at 128 North 4th Street.
Officers made several attempts to contact the suspect; however, the man refused to surrender, and a barricaded suspect incident was declared.
According to reports, SWAT officers surrounded and then breached the home, where they located the suspect asleep with a gun pointed to his head.
The suspect was disarmed by the SWAT unit then arrested inside the house.
Police say there were no injuries reported.
