Passaic County Prosecutor officials reported that at approximately 11:30 p.m., Paterson Police were dispatched to the area of East 26th Street and 7th Avenue on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene, a 23-year- old male Paterson resident, and a 24-year-old male Garfield resident who each sustained non- fatal gunshot wounds.
Police say the victims were immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the victims were in the area of East 26th Street and 7th Avenue when they were shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
