Paterson Emergency Responders Rescue Woman from Passaic River

A woman was rescued from the Passaic River in Paterson this afternoon after reportedly jumping into the water and losing consciousness.AdAccording to preliminary reports, around 2:10 p.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the area near McBride Avenue and Nagle Street following calls about a woman struggling in the river.

When firefighters arrived, they found the woman unconscious and floating in the water.

They quickly pulled her out and administered medical care on the scene before transporting her to St. Joseph’s Hospital.

She remains in critical condition.

The circumstances leading to the incident are currently under investigation.AdAuthorities are asking anyone with information to come forward as they work to determine what happened.
