Paterson to Celebrate African Heritage Parade, Juneteenth Freedom Celebration

Today, The Honorable Mayor Andre Sayegh will join the African Heritage Parade Committee for the annual Paterson African Heritage Parade.AdThis much-anticipated event honors the contributions of the African diaspora to the history of the United States and the world.

According to Paterson City officials, this event is dedicated to celebrating and educating the public on African descendants' significant achievements and influences.

The parade will start at the historic Masonic Temple in Paterson and proceed towards Eastside Park, culminating in a vibrant display of cultural pride and unity.

Following the parade, the Juneteenth Freedom Celebration, hosted by Paterson Juneteenth, will occur at Eastside Park from 12 PM to 7 PM.

Paterson Juneteenth is a socio-economic movement that honors the freedom attained on June 19, 1865.

The organization advocates for African Americans' rights and highlights Juneteenth's importance as a symbol of freedom and community strength.AdThis year's events are more than just gatherings; they are remarkable celebrations featuring music, dance, and various cultural activities.
