There is an active search for a suspect wanted for a carjacking that occurred overnight in Paterson.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the 30's block of Belle Avenue before 2 a.m. where police arrived at the scene to investigate a carjacking in progress.
An armed male suspect arrived at that location and demanded the victim's white 4-door 2009 Lexus then sped from the scene.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "H62-HWC."
There were no physical injuries reported.
