Passaic County officials are looking into the cause of a crash that severely injured one person on a highway in Paterson just before midnight.
According to police, the crash happened in the 70's block of Route 20, where the driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed at that location.
Police say the impact of the collision caused the car to flip over, trapping one person inside and ejecting another.
Emergency responders were able to extricate the victim then transport them to St. Joseph's Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
