A local artist's vision of Paterson is now on display for the world to see — and the city couldn’t be prouder.
According to a statement released by the City of Paterson, The Honorable Mayor Andre Sayegh will stand alongside hometown author and artist Mr. Joshua Suri on Wednesday, March 26, to celebrate a major milestone in the artist’s career.
Suri’s powerful photograph of the iconic Great Falls is now featured in Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport, offering travelers a glimpse into the beauty and spirit of Paterson.
Known for his ability to capture the essence of his city through both imagery and words, Suri has become a true ambassador of Paterson’s culture and history.
His work has earned him recognition across the state, and now, with his art showcased in one of the busiest transportation hubs in the country, his reach is expanding even further.
Suri is also a published author, with two books to his name — Hillcrest – Stories from the Edge of Paterson among them.
His storytelling, both visual and written storytelling, shines a light on the overlooked stories of the Garden State.
Currently, he’s working on a third book that will explore the hidden histories of New Jersey’s most distinctive towns, continuing his mission to honor and preserve the diverse legacies of the state.

This celebration at Newark Airport is more than just an art unveiling — it’s a moment of pride for the Paterson community and a reminder of the incredible talent that calls the city home.
