Authorities in Passaic County are looking for a suspect responsible for a shooting incident that injured a man in Paterson on Monday night.
According to the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office, at approximately 3:57 p.m., Paterson Police officers were dispatched to the area of Governor Street and Carroll Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a potential crime scene but were unable to identify a victim.
According to officials, a short time later, the Paterson Police Department members were advised that a 23-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph's University Medical Center via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
