One person was killed in a crash that caused a vehicle to ignite in flames on a street in Paterson on Monday evening.
At approximately 7:35 p.m, police were dispatched to the area of 15 North 3rd Street to investigate several reports of a crash.
Upon arrival, police found a taxi cab and another car on fire colliding at the intersection with at least one person trapped inside the taxi.
According to police, firefighters extinguished the blaze, checked the vehicles and found an unidentified person suffering serve burns.
The victim was pronounced dead shortly after the crash.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.
