In the early hours of the morning, Passaic Police investigated a shooting incident near 3rd Street and Passaic Street.
Gunfire erupted at approximately 1:30 a.m., prompting a response from local law enforcement.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered evidence of a shooting, including several shell casings.
However, no victim was located at the site. Meanwhile, authorities received information that an individual with gunshot wounds had walked into Hackensack University Medical Center.
Police believe this person may be connected to the shooting incident, but the investigation is still active and ongoing.
Detectives are working to piece together the events leading up to the shooting and to determine the motive behind it.
