A shooting incident in Passaic early Saturday morning has led the Passaic County Prosecutor's Office to take charge of the investigation.
The situation occurred around 3:30 a.m. near 224 6th Street.
According to preliminary reports, officers arrived and found an unidentified, unconscious, and unresponsive individual suffering from a bullet wound.
Emergency medical teams provided CPR at the scene before transporting the victim to a hospital for urgent care.
As detectives canvassed the area for evidence and potential additional victims, it was confirmed that no other injuries were sustained during the incident.
The motive behind the shooting is currently under investigation, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to uncover further details surrounding the violent event.
