The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is leading an investigation into a violent shooting that left two individuals wounded late Thursday night in Paterson.
The incident happened around 11:40 p.m. near 215 West Broadway.
Police responded to reports of shots fired and arrived to find an unidentified individual suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately secured the area and called for emergency medical assistance.
The man was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment, where they remain in serious but stable condition.
The victims was reported to have been struck in the back.
The investigation is active and ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
