Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrest of Edward S. Lee, 28, of Palisades Park, on charges of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, Criminal Sexual Contact, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.
According to authorities, on Oct. 1st the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received a report that Lee had sexually assaulted two minors.
As a result of an investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Palisades Park Police Department, arrested Lee on Nov. 6th in Palisades Park and charged him with one count of Sexual Assault By Sexual Contact, two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and one count of Sexual Contact.
Officials say he was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing in Hackensack on Nov. 9th at 9 a.m.
Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
