Authorities in Atlantic County announced Gregg Page, 34, of Philadelphia, PA, has been charged with murder, attempted murder, and associated weapons offenses in reference to two females found with apparent gunshot wounds to the head in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 1, in Atlantic City.Two other men with Page that night, brothers Ryan Schenck, 30, and Ramir Schenck, 27, both also from Philadelphia were both charged with Hindering Apprehension in connection with the above crimes, officials stated.
According to officials, on Thursday, August 1, at approximately 4:41 a.m., the Atlantic City Police Department responded to the area of the 60 North Main Avenue (Main and the Boardwalk), for two females severally injured.
Upon arrival, officials said, officers located two females in the area of the jetty.
Authorities say the first female was identified as Kamille Stewart, 29, from Pleasantville, and Stewart was conscious with multiple wounds.
She was transported to AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City, according to officials.
Officials stated the second female was identified as Carle Elbert, 32, from Sewell, and Elbert was unconscious and unresponsive.
She was pronounced deceased at the scene. Preliminary investigation revealed that both females appear to have been shot in the head, officials say.
Officials said the official cause and manner of Elbert’s death are pending an autopsy by the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation led detectives to Philadelphia, PA, the same day, where the three suspects were located and charged with the above in connection to this incident, officials stated.
According to officials, all three individuals were lodged in a Philadelphia Correctional Facility pending their extradition to New Jersey.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department, authorities say.
