Authorities are investigating a crash that left one person critically injured in Franklin Township early this morning.
Emergency responders received several calls of an overturned vehicle with possible trapped occupants in the 1000 block of Easton Avenue near the McDonalds restaurant at around 4 a.m.
Rescue crews arrived to the scene to find a badly damaged vehicle that overturned, trapping one occupant according to reports.
It took firefighters and rescue crews several minutes to extricate the heavily trapped victim who was then handed over to EMS and rushed to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center suffering life threatening injuries reports said.
A crash investigation team was brought to the scene to assess the damage and determine the cause of the crash.
The identity of the victim has not been immediately released.
