Newark Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on during the overnight hours in the city's South Ward.
The incident was reported to police from the 500 block of Bergen Street at around midnight where officers arrived and found the injured person suffering a stab injury at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where their injuries were not reported as life-threatening.
There were no reports of arrests at this time.
