Authorities in Plainfield are looking into the motive behind a stabbing incident that injured two people in a section of the city Saturday.
In the early morning incident, police were called to the 400 bloc of Plainfield Avenue at approximately 2:20 a.m. to investigate reports of a physical altercation.
Upon arrival, units found about a 20-year-old and 45-year-old male bleeding after the suspects went on the attack with a knife.
Police say the victims were transported to the hospital in serious but stable condition.
There were no reports of arrests.
