Police in Jersey City are looking into the motive for a shot-fired incident in a section of the city on Saturday morning.
According to police, at approximately 12:28 a.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of 336 Forrest Street.
According to authorities, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a large crowd leaving the area.
A search of the area indicated shell casings, but no victims were found, police said.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined and no arrests were reported.
