The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office was alerted to a shooting incident in Woodland Park that resulted in one person being injured.
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. in the 200 block of Browertown Road.
According to preliminary reports, responding to reports of an injured individual, police arrived on the scene to find an unidentified person with a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was quickly transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment. However, as of 4 a.m., the victim's condition remained unconfirmed, adding to the urgency and concern of the situation.
Authorities are now conducting a thorough investigation to determine the motive behind the shooting.
At this time, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
