An overnight shooting in Plainfield has authorities investigating.
The incident happened in the 100 block of Garfield Avenue at around 10 p.m. where police were called to the scene for reports of shots fired.
Units arrived to find a male victim suffering a non-life threatening gunshot wound at that location.
The victim was transported to the hospital where he was treated for a minor injury then released shortly afterwards according to authorities.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
