Newark authorities are looking for a suspect wanted for a Central Ward shooting that sent a man to the hospital Saturday.
The late-night shooting happened around 10:25 p.m. in the vicinity of 45 Spruce Street.
Police received a 911 call reporting a person shot near the intersection of Lincoln Park.
Several units arrived and found the victim suffering a bullet wound in his stomach at that location.
The injured male was transported to University Hospital for treatment while officers searched the area for shell casings and other victims.
No other injuries were reported and the investigation remains active.
