Fire officials in East Orange are investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a house in the city Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, firefighters were called to 269 North 19th Street to investigate reports of a fire at around 12:24 a.m.
Upon arrival, crews observed flames coming from the third floor of a three-story house.
Officials say firefighters were able to make it inside the house where a search indicated no trapped or injured victims.
The fire was knocked down in under a half-hour with the cause under investigation.
