Mercer County authorities are looking into the motive behind a shooting incident that sent three people to the hospital in Trenton overnight.
According to a preliminary statement released by Trenton authorities, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the 50's block of Power at approximately 11:32 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a large gathering of people from a party with three individuals shot at that location.
Trenton Emergency Medical Services and Capital Health Paramedics rushed the victims to Capital Health Trauma Center for treatment of unspecified injuries, according to police.
The Mercer County Shooting response team joined in on the investigation and search for evidence to support a motive for the shooting.
There were no arrests reported at this time.
