Police in Belleville are investigating the motive behind a stabbing that happened near a pool hall located in 500 block of Washington Avenue overnight.
EMS transported one person to Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville after police responded to reports of a stabbing with a person injured shortly before 11:30 p.m.
The extent of the victim's injuries have not immediately been reported as life threatening.
There were no reports of arrests made.
