Do you struggle with Friday-Failure Syndrome?
Do you ever feel anxious (or even disappointed) as Friday comes in because you still have more on your to-do list than the time allotted?
If so, keep reading.
Running businesses, overseeing ministries, and tending to marriage and family is no small feat. If your plate is full (or maybe even stuffed?), there are a few things to consider to bring ease and peace to this practice we've been learning.
First up: Consider your portion
Sometimes the Friday Failure Syndrome is self-inflicted.
Ask yourself, Am I committed to things/tasks that are rollovers from the last season but you need to release?
If so, you know what to do. God gives wisdom on how to as well- so seek Him about that.
Next Up: Consider Your Perspective
Once you've addressed the first part, it's time to look at it this way; Whatever is on your plate now (however much it may be), God offers grace to do it. So, do you perceive His grace to keep going?
Even in small steps at a time?
That's still obedience because that's your capacity.
When we work as unto the Lord and learn from our daily discipline lessons, we grow in understanding that we are merely stewarding. Lord, help us to be faithful today.
Have you been faithful with today?
Meditate there. The effects of faithfulness can compound like interest. As you remain, His grace grows.
Be faithful for today, and you'll never succumb to the Friday-Failure Syndrome again.
A great way to keep track of your growth and overcome the Friday-Failure syndrome is to have routine marriedpreneur meetings that you tweak as needed. If you want to use a template, you can use our marriedpreneur checklist here.
