A violent shooting erupted on a city street Saturday evening, leaving a 28-year-old man dead after a gunman unleashed a barrage of bullets, striking the victim multiple times. According to a statement released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray, the shooting occurred on March 15, around 5:20 p.m. Officers from the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Market Street and Pennington Street.
Upon arrival, authorities found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders transported him to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Law enforcement officials have not yet disclosed a motive for the shooting, nor have they released information regarding a suspect.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to piece together the circumstances surrounding the deadly attack.
