Police in Orange took two suspects into custody early Saturday morning and charged them with an armed robbery and assault that occurred shortly before cops tracked them down.
According to initial reports, police were called to an address on Park Street for reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Arriving officers located two female victims who reported to them that shortly before they arrived to the scene, two black male suspects approached armed with a gun and demanded personal possessions.
When the women attempted to hand over items, one of the suspects went on the attact with the weapon -striking one of the women- causing minor injuries before they ran from the scene reports said.
A search of the area had cops locate two males fitting the description of the robbery suspects in the 60's block of Central Avenue.
The men were placed under arrest and a weapon was recovered in their possession according to reports.
Police are continuing their investigation.
