The Orange Police Department and residents are mourning the sudden death of an officer.
Orange Police released the following statement:
“With great sadness, The Orange Police Department announces the passing of 34-year-old Officer Rodolfo Diaz, ID# 372
Officer R. Diaz was born on October 1st, 1987. The Orange Police Department was notified of his untimely death on May 19th, 2022.
Officer R. Diaz began his journey with the Orange Police Department on March 29th, 2021.
He worked with the Department up until the date of his death. Officer R. Diaz is remembered by his friends, family, and fellow Officers for his commitment, attention to detail, and dependability.
Officer R. Diaz, the Orange Police Department, and the Residents of Orange Township thank you for your service and dedication, job well done. We have it from here”.
Funeral arrangements for Officer Diaz have not been released at this time.
