A child found wandering on a frigid Newark South Ward street last night has authorities investigating.
Details regarding incident continue to develop, but according to preliminary reports, a good Samaritan reportedly found the child on Rose Terrace at around 7 p.m. then immediately notified police.
Police and EMS arrived at the scene where they found the child who reported was "very briefly" displaced from a residence on the block.
According to reports, the child was under the guidance of unidentified caretakers while the parents were not home.
Police later reconnected the child with parents according to reports.
There were no injuries reported.
