Carole Hedinger, New Jersey Lottery executive director, announced that there were no Mega Millions game jackpot or second-tier New Jersey prizewinners.
The winning numbers for the Tuesday, Jan. 24 drawing were: 08, 42, 54, 63 and 67. The Gold Mega Ball was 11, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 04.
There were three third-tier prizewinning tickets sold that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $5,000 prize.
Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
Somerset County: Quick Chek #12, 1578 Route 206, Bedminster,
Somerset County: Rite Aid #10433, 16 Lyons Mall, Basking Ridge; and
Union County: RVAV Fuel Inc., 801 West Elizabeth Ave., Linden.
If those tickets had been purchased with the Megaplier option, it would have multiplied the prizes to $20,000.
In addition, 26 other players matched four of the five white balls drawn making each ticket worth $500.
Three of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $2,000.
Moreover, 97,428 other New Jersey players took home $175,162 in prizes ranging from $1 to $200, according to Hedinger.
“Congratulations to the lottery winners and to the retailers that sold the winning tickets,” said Hedinger. “For selling the winning tickets, the retailers have become many more Lottery ‘lucky locations’ overnight.”
