Authorities announced the arrest of Aaron Johnson, 26, of Newark, wanted in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on September 16th.
According to police, at approximately 5:55 a.m., officers responded the 100-block of 1st Street on a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, officers located three male victims who were robbed inside a residence by two armed men.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify Mr. Aaron Johnson as a suspect in this robbery and obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of three counts of Robbery, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Conspiracy.
Detectives ultimately took Johnson into custody today without incident.
These charges are merely accusations. The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The investigation is continuing as a second suspect in this incident remains at large.
